About Me:
His accomplishments include first prizes in the Menuhin-Dowling Young Pianist's Competition two times, the CAPMT Bartok and Contemporary Music competition two times and the CAPMT Honors Auditions, the CAPMT northern division concerto competition, and the East Bay Music Festival. He was the state winner in the MTAC concerto competition during last summer's convention. As the winner of the Oakland East Bay Symphony concerto competition last year, Misha will be performing the Chopin Concerto no. 1 with the orchestra on July 3rd this year. On June 19, 2010, he gave his first full solo recital in Mountain View and his second on May 8 this year. He has also performed in the Junior Bach Festival in Berkeley and, when he was eight years old, he gave the premier of William Bolcom's "Monster Pieces" at the MTAC convention.
In addition to his achievements in piano, Misha is an accomplished swimmer on the Mission San Jose Aquatics swim team and is ranked among the top swimmers in California (for his age). In his rare free time, Misha loves to listen to music, spend time with his friends, and read.
