European cars get better fuel mileage because the engines are smaller. A 1.5L diesel will get better mileage than a 2.0L diesel...who would have thought. If they don't have the diesel hybrid (70-80mpg) over here in the next five years I will start a revolt.
The dealers are forced to put that on the window by law, its the implied warranty. The fuel economy is EPA estimated by the CAFE standards. They seem to extremely exagerate under estimate diesel mpg and over exagerate hybrid mpg. It's because they test it on a dyno that doesn't at all simulate...
