Europe isn't all bad, though. I really like the concept of the EU - no infighting & whatnot. If the rule of law was the foundation for the EU, then I wouldn't be so opposed. But, in recent times, all modernized countries have slowly replace law with 'the legal system'/contract law/admiralty law/so on.
I didn't know the difference until recently, but they are radically different. Worryingly so...

Anyway, I'll shut up now.

Yup, I'm a recovering catholic. I've been clean over a decade, now. It's all BS, just another ideology based control system to fuck up humanity. :D
I still think EU is big government. Not that it's all too malicious at the moment. But, the way it's structured leaves a lot of room for the abuse of power, especially if the lisbon treaty is ratified.
I've just got a bit of a personal vendetta against the EU at the moment because I'm pissed off that my country is having to vote on that piece of legislation again. After we rejected it a year ago. & as France & Holland rejected the nice treaty, which is almost entirely the same piece of legislation. That shows huge disregard for the voice of the citizens of Europe. No other countries get to vote on the lisbon treaty either, which is just wrong.
