Well first of thanks for viewing my channel and looking at my videos. If you like what you see fill free to Subscribe. I try to put a new video out every 2 weeks. And they will just keep on getting better and better. I do not have my own personal layout anymore, But I am a member of a Local club where you can see videos of my HO Ohio Southern in Action. I try to put a little bit of everything on my channel video wise. Mostly Model Railroading of some form, weather it be HO, O Scale, or any others to Railfanning, and Weathering videos. So always something new happing or going on!
The OHIO SOUTHERN RAILROAD
The OSRR started back in 1990 with a Mine in southeast Ohio. With a track from the Century mine to a local Power plant in Powhatan,OH. And from their the OSRR started to grow. Back in 1993 it made it up to Steubenville, OH/Mingo Junction.
Were it interchanges with Norfolk Southern and Wheeling Lake Erie. One year after that in 1994 a new mine opened up near Dennison,OH were the OSRR would bring coal trains down to the river were it would then be loaded on to barges. And by the end of the 1999. The OSRR made it to Columbus, OH were it interchanges with NorFolk Southern, Ohio Central/ Genesee & Wyoming, and CSX. And in 2004 the OSRR made a trip into West Virginia. From Powhatan, OH to Glenn Falls, WV were it served another Mine, and a few other industries. Now in 2009 the OSRR operates over 400 miles of track, With 25 engines and over 1200 Rail cars. Ohio Southern is the Coal hauler of Ohio. The future looks bright for the OSRR with coal traffic becoming higher! The future is still bright with a couple of new mines opening up, and new tracks being laid.
