Jesus states you should only pray in private, so by breaking that you are going against your supposed saviour. And If you don't follow the rules of the man you believe existed, why do you expect everyone else to follow those rules when they don't believe. You should only pray in your own house, or the house. No where else, therefore you're a pretty poor excuse for a Christian.

They prayed to be seen of men. I don't nor, do christians they pray through fellowship and reverence of God. Matthew 21:13-"It is written," he said to them, "'My house will be called a house of PRAYER,' but you are making it 'a den of robbers.' " Acts 1:14-"These all continued with one accord in PRAYER and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren." You have the spirit for the devil, and the works of your father you will do.

It does not just talk about praying for personal gain, just praying in public in general. You cannot say you follow Christ, until you follow the rules set down by him surely? Also, you do not want ti talk to me about how "good" your god is, for it is surely a front you are unable to win.

@EssenceOfThought what is the relevance of Matthew 6:5-8? I don't pray for others to get glory for myself. I care for others. I don't follow what your saying. Yes, I have helped the needy without question asking nothing in return but I did that because I had compassion and out the goodness out my heart not to say, "Look see I am helping a poor person I am a godly person".
