About Me:
1. There are a number of very old 8mm clips. Most depicting typical life in New Zealand in the 1950's.
2. There is also a collection of old Super Eight Movies. Most of the content is from the late 60's. These movies give quite an insight into the lifestyle of a number of baby boomers (more still to come).
3. Then there's a collection of videos using very old songs of Vheri Bixsta's. Most recorded in the late 70's through to the last being recorded about 1984. The equipment used was sparse to say the least. Drum machines ranged over the years with the earliest being a completely analogue unit (circa 1968). Echo was achieved by looping through a 3 head cassette deck with the whole lot being recorded on one of the first 4 track tape recorders. Keyboard mostly used was an old Hohner Pianet T (mechanical piano) which was also used a lot for the bass. Some of the videos feature the excellent guitar playing of Paul B who was a much sought after axe master in the 70's. A few of the later tracks became high tech and actually had (very grainy) digital reverb on them. There were approx 20 tracks in all and we hope to get them on site over time (it's a work in progress).
4. There's a few from the bush. Just clips from some various adventures into the scrub. Sadly (as anybody who goes 4 wheel driving knows), most of the best bits never seem to get recorded.
5. Also a number of random clips from the crew at OFMD including one that Ms H posted showing her cat harassing the dog (riveting stuff?).
