The all-too-brief saga of Big House opened with a bang in 1997 when their self-titled debut record on MCA-Nashville went Gold, with hits like, "Cold Outside", "You Aint Lonely Yet" & "Roadman". But in the case of "business" trumping "music", the band was quickly sucked into the Music Row corporate structure of Nashville with their secord record, "Travelin Kynd".
The band was caught in a catch 22, "too rock" for country radio, and "too country" for rock radio.
Richie Unterberger of All Music Magazine said it best, "they get into a circa-1970 album rock groove that might recall traits of the Band or the Allman Brothers."
Well the band has reunited and just released their first record in 10yrs, "Never Ending Train". The album can be purchased or downloaded at the bands website and now on itunes.
