Yes, I'm a tad in love with my country, and just a wee bit PISSED OFF!
Global Warming...Immigration...Health care...Globalization, there is no debate, when were we asked what our rightful input was? Or do we just gloat and cuss when "our side" is ahead or behind.Though we are charged with that responsibility of running this nation, we have chosen to take a back seat. Nor has any group of Americans been actively involved, save specialy interested parties, greedy corporations and corrupt politicians. The latter of whom openly admits they do not even read the Bills they pass into law. These issues have been decided by those we have not elected, and through corruption of those that represent us. Okay, you say there is no "they", that there is no agenda separate from Constitutional values. So where in your mind is justified the situation that has come about. That so many laws and policies contrary to the Constitution have been actuated without just and due input of American society as a whole. Laws and policies contrary to the individual Americans best interests. Indeed contrary to the very documentation which defines what it is to be an American. Laws and policies which demean and destroy our Constitutional rights. Did you vote for NAFTA , GATT or the Patriot Act? Did you elect some one to do that for you? Are you aware of how these laws injure our status as rightful Americans? How they reduce the Constitution? Is it "American" to settle for anti-Constitutional laws? Do you even know what it is to be an American? Have you read the Constitution? Do you understand it? When was the last time you defended it? Having not defended it, can you expect it to survive? Can you name acurately what your rights are, and why they are important enough to literally die for? If not, how can you be a practicing American? Are you American?

If you can not finnish these lines without resorting to Miriam Webster or the internet, you do not know and and have not known what they mean. If you think you know then look them up, the odds on chances are you are errant. This being the case, tell us all once again how proud you are to be an American, nevermind you don't know what an American is, as defined by the only legal authorities (Mom, baseball and Gucci do not apply), the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
