Claudio Caballero, es un joven que nacio en los setentas. Tiene, como tantos, la fustración de saber que podría haber hecho algo más, algo mejor con su vida.
Como promotor musical, vive mas del recuerdo de su difunto hermano Federico y los enorme logros en el ámbito musical que este y sus tres socios tuvieron.
Sin embargo, lo único que motiva a Claudio es seguir los pasos de su hermano y su apuesta es traer a nada menos que a U2 a Monterrey aprovechando que la banda irlandesa viene a México D.F. a realizar dos conciertos.
Para poner su plan en marcha Claudio convence a su hermosa novia Gloria, que le preste por media hora el medio millon de dolares que sus padres guardan en una cuenta de ahorros para realizar una apuesta de locura a favor de que los rayados del monterrey ganarán la final del futbol mexicano contra América.
Esto lo piensa hacer en el casino clandestino del Capo Zamacona, y con el dinero ganado fondear el concierto de U2.
Claudio se las arregla para entrar al casino clandestino, mostrar el dinero a los gangsters y hacer la apuesta. Después saca el dinero por una pequeña ventana del baño de hombre. El dinero lo recibe Gloria en el estacionamiento para devolverlo al banco dejando solo a Claudio en el Casino esperando el desenlace del partido.
Los Rayados del Monterrey pierden. Encañonado y a punto de morir a manos de lso pistoleros del viejo Zamacona, furioso y humillado ante un portafolio vacío, Claudio solo atina a suspirar por su sueño, ese evento que, a manera de último deseo en el patíbulo, menciona con más lamento que gloria:
Un concierto de U2 en Monterrey.
Uno de los empistolados, al oirle decide otorgarle 7 dias de gracias, se trata de Tony, hijo de Zamacona y fanático de U2.
A partir de este moemento empieza el Peregrinar de Claudio, quien asistido por Tony, luchara por convencer a U2 de venir a Monterrey y robarle a la empresa de espectaculos más grande México logrando así conservar su vida.

There is this Steven Jay list of 1001 movies you must see before you die ( http://www.listsofbests.com/list/1081 )and though I don't totally agree with the choices (no Ed Wood, No Barbarella, No Duel), it brought some forgotten gems to my attention so that I'm currently working my way through the list (I'm nearly halfway there). Along the way I had unwittingly done a few videos using footage from various films on said list and I thought it would be a really good thing to eventually have 1001 videos that will cover all of Steven Jay's picks individually. For that, of course, I need your help. So what I want you to do is: Get the list, choose your favourites and create a video that is based on only one movie at a time. Pink Martini 's debut Sympathique opens with Amado Mio. The song was written by Doris Fischer and Allan Roberts and became famous with the Film Noir classic Gilda from 1946. Though Rita Hayworth made the song popular, it isn't her voice that you hear in the film, but that of Anita Ellis. So I guess its ok, to dub it again, now with the voice of China Frobes, if I'm not mistaken.
