Thank you for the many words regarding Hotblack and other Oceanship songs. I am Brad Lyons. I am Oceanship. The Hotblack story was already written when I came across this animation. The animator and I finished it together (the pacing, the editing, etc), but by and large, it is the marriage of two projects. I welcome any interpretations of this song in video form. If you do create a video for this song, be sure to link it somehow to the Oceanship page, and let me know.
