Great points. I know not mainstream, but I'd urge you to watch some videos of Noam Chomsky and/or Glenn Greenwald. Most of the people are either on the side of the State or Business. Those two guys are on neither - they see that both these sides are false and power-hungry.

I don't think the kitten was hurt. Surely, it would have been kicking and squirming if it was really discomforted. And, once put down, it would have run for its life. Whilst it does look uncomfortable for the kitten, I actually think the child was being firm but gentle.
