The Music of Vikram Shankar

The Count of Tuscany by Dream Theater - Full Piano Cover/Arrangement/Version by Vikram Shankar

Me playing Piano Sonata in G# minor, op. 10, #6 "The Count of Tuscany" by Dream Theater on solo piano. (Get it? 10th album, 6th song? Oh, I'm so funny.)
Apologies for the too-quiet sound, my mic was being weird, but I decided to upload this take anyways. And also apologies for the overly cautious playing, in the playing of an eighteen minute odyssey like this I didn't want to make a slip
up and have to do it all over again, lol.
Anywho, please watch and enjoy! And remember to turn your volume up 'cause it'll sound better!
Like, comment, rate, subscribe, and such! And if you think it's REALLY good, then I would really appreciate it if you would share it with your friends/anyone who would be interested! Thank you!

^I'm really proud to be in this outfit. We've opened for Dream Theater and Kamelot three times each, Symphony X, Epica, etc, and this summer we had the chance to open for Rhapsody of Fire/Voyager and Chimp Spanner/The Contortionist which was really cool! Currently tracking our third album right now...

^A thing my girlfriend and I do together. I happen to really proud of the stuff we've put out, super ambient stuff. Makes for very relaxing night listening, I like to think.

^we have a pretty sweet version of the Skyrim theme song up, you should totally check it out!

About me: I'm a 17 year old guy (16 at time of recording) who plays piano, guitar, drums, bass, tenor sax, french horn, and mandolin. Been studying piano for 9 years, and I've been playing the others, self taught, for a few years. I mainly do classic rock (a la Zeppelin and Thin Lizzy) and metal (symphonic, prog, melodic death, black, gothic, folk, you get the picture) but I also dig playin jazz fusion, classical (particularly 19th and 20th century) and doodlin modal jazz from time to time. And listening wise, I'm all over the map... from Beethoven to Bartok to Bill Evans to Bruce Springsteen to Black Sabbath to Bathory to Behemoth, I like to think. I dont do anythin professionally, but its my dream to do so one day.

Friend me on FaceBook; I'm always open to meeting new muzak fans!
