What I use to make videos:

I generally record using FRAPs at 1280x720 resolution for the best outcome quality on YouTube. FRAPs records the game audio while Audacity is running in the background recording my commentary. I edit the videos in Sony Vegas Pro 10.0 and then upload em as usual.
