About Whiskey and Womble
Age: Whiskey and Womble were born on 1st September 2007.

Womble 'Wom' - is by far and above the better jumper of the two, he's almost graceful in the air and his record stands at around the 1 metre mark. As far as tricks go he is the better of the at walking on back legs and has had a massive head start on the 'retrieve and drop' trick so is ahead on this too for now. Womble likes luke warm water if he is to go in for a dip but if the temperature and mood is right then he's happy to swim and dive and can hold his breath for a long time. He's the more independant of the two and isn't normally one to stop for a cuddle, he can be very stubborn to do things the way he wants to.

Whiskey (Full name: Artic Whiskey) 'woo' - is the 'explorer' out of the two - he will always be the first to approach a new toy or object to see what it does. As far as tricks go, he is the better spinner, the only one to be taught tunnel fetch and the only one out of the two who thinks .. before acting :P. You won't find Whiskey jumping off something before he looks. He's recently discovered the fun of digging and loves to make the rat-room messy with this skill. Whiskey tends to prefer water more than Womble but likes his swimming water to be cold :) so its very hard to get them both in the water together. Whiskey is the more docile and I'm training him (with lots of handling) to lie on his back for cuddles. He's a very friendly, loving rat who always has licks to spare and adores shoulder surfing.

About The girls:
Age: The girls were born on the 3rd November 2008

Pickle: Pickle is an red-eyed hooded Silver Fawn. Initially she was by far the most scared of the three and has made huge progress in getting used to us. She takes a back seat during play time, never being the first to try anything but has taken well to both playing in water and climbing. Her eye sight does seem to let her down but everday she gets more confident with the room and her surroundings.

Splodge: Splodge is a black-eyed Black Berkshire and by far the bravest of the three so far. She'll tackle anything new that is placed in front of her with almost no hesitation. She was the first in the water, and the first to dive in head first. Her climbing ability is only beaten by Vodka's, but Splodge has the advantage of no fear and the desire to just do it to see what's there.

Vodka: Vodka is a red-eyed champagne rat. She is overly inquizative and wants to know whats going on all the time. Climbing has come completely naturally to her and it seems nothing is unscalable. Predictably the cleverest of the three and able to time moves to such precision that you won't even have had chance to react by the time she's reached her goal. You can tell in her eyes she wants to be naughty, but is going to wait until your distracted hehe.

FAQ Section (due to popular demand):

1. What type of rats are Womble and Whiskey?
There's various opinions about this but best information currently says that Whiskey and Womble are European Huskey rats. There are people who disagree with that though.

2. What treats do you use for training?
Its best to experiment with your rats and try different treats on them to find what they like best. Common favourites would be things like brocolli, grape, banana (yellow only, not green or brown), carrots etc. You can also use the bagged treats you get from pet stores, but be sure to break all treats down into small bits, so that you can train or treat without over treating.
