Mike Vargas is the founder and President of Nuyorktricity, a multi-media company comprised of film, graphic design and music production. As a New York native, Mike brings a fierce skater and artistic passion to independent filmmaking. His cinematography credits include Estilo Hip Hop, the soon-to-be released feature length documentary that chronicles the rise of hip hop activism throughout Latin America (www.estilohiphop.com). In addition, Mike has shot and edited innumerable live events, music videos, and promotional packages. His recent clients include Nike, Pepsi, Diesel, Phillips, Dime Magazine, and Interscope Records. Mike is currently working on a photo book that chronicles the impact three world-renowned skateboarders (Natas Kaupas, Mark Gonzales, and Mike Valleley) had on "street skating", as well as developing a screenplay about a young Puerto Rican boy's kaleidoscopic discovery of his ethnic culture, manhood, and art of b-boying.
