Mine has done the same thing before, I felt so bad for him when hit the ground because I was to far to catch him. Why they like to sleep like that I will never know.

This is ignorant, it isn't the dog it's the owner that causes a dog to be vicious. I have owned a rottweiler, german shepard, english and american bulldogs never had a problem with any of them. Except the bulldogs lick the hell out of everyone they meet.
