Back in 2002 I was visiting Chester and I had the fortune of coming across Ed busking, and bought one of his CDs. Unfortunately it got lost in a move some years ago. I loved that CD :/ But anyway, I still maintain that he is the best busker I've heard/seen to this day.

@giecik182 You need something to shield the rest of your motherboard, but expose the GFX chip like Aluminium Foil and a Paint Stripper/Heat Gun to heat the chip up. You'll also need a phillips head screwdriver to open the system up fully.

I know you've already solved this, but if it happens again - get a heat gun/paint stripper gun, Open the machine up, locate the GPU, shield everything but the GPU with a layer of aluminium foil. Well, mine wasn't visibly damaged but when I tested it with a multimeter it wasn't putting out 5v. If yours is giving out 5v, then it may be one of your diodes that is damaged instead. You can re-wire it to it bypasses them, but I've lost the diagrams for that procedure in a format from months ag...
