If you do have 4.2.1 and an IPod 3G/4G or Iphone 3Gs/4G. Try to go to jailbreakme(dot)com on your ipod/iphone's browser to jailbreak without a computer. I've never used it, because mines is already jailbroken, but I heard it worked great

Yes. If you have firmwares 4.1 or 4.2, use limera1n.
If you have an ipod 3g/4g or iphone 3gs/4g with firmware 4.2.1, use greenp0ison or go to "jailbreakme(dot)com" on your mobile browser for a quick jailbreak
