What is it that makes an outstanding, dynamic and (most importantly) memorable presentation? What elements generate continuing comments, compliments and interest in a speech or presentation given years before, when most people forget what they've heard during a presentation before they even leave the room? The answer is simplicity itself.
I'm Dennis Wooldridge. After a 35-year career in television, including years as an award winning television commercial writer/producer and winning 17 individual awards for a variety of presentations, I have a unique perspective in understanding what makes every presentation sizzle and an audience remember you and your message long after the applause dies away. That's what I want to share with you! Let's face it, in today's business and social cultures, these kinds of truly impactful presentations are very rare. Most presentations are dull, boring, unimaginative, thrown together and all they really share with an audience is reason to yawn.
But, I'm not so arrogant as to believe I know it all. In developing NovelQuest Productions, my "quest" is to examine and investigate atypical, fresh and "novel" methods of presenting that create performances that are both powerful and memorable. I study masters of the art of presentation like Garr Reynolds, Nancy Duarte, Cliff Atkinson, Guy Kawasaki and more. I watch and dissect the performances of great speakers and presenters to find those elemental factors that separate the great from the rest of the crowd. What I know and what I learn about making powerful, memorable and singularly successful presentations will be the content of this blog and my forth coming book, "New Brain Glue: Cementing Your Message."
I hope you enjoy this journey of discovery we'll take together. I know the innovative and unique methods to be found here will help you give dynamic, memorable and maybe even award-winning presentations of your own.
