It's amazing what millions in political contributions can get you. After wining and dining the Legislature, four of the state's wealthiest, most powerful tribes (Pechanga, Morongo, Agua Caliente and Sycuan) cut themselves a Sacramento deal at the expense of other tribes, taxpayers, workers and the environment - and not one penny is guaranteed to our schools!
My biggest interest between now and the Feb. 5 California election is defeating the Big 4 Unfair Deals.

- Exemptions to environmental protection laws

- Fail to protect casino workers

- Benefits 4 wealthy tribes at the expense of others

- Big 4 tribes allowed to underpay the state

- Not 1 penny guaranteed to schools!

These tribes make enough money already to help support the needy tribes, so why all the sudden they want our support? They just need votes. Morongo gives a share of $22,000 to EACH of their tribal memebers and they want more? Agua Caliente already has THREE casinos!! It's all GREED!

i hope you know that memebers of those four tribes pay some of the highest taxes in the state. Most pay more taxes in one month than most people make in a year. not only are the casino taxed, but each individual member, so the debate on the 9billion the states would be recieving doesnt just come from the casino alone.

please~~~ giving opportunity to bigger more rich tribes is not a good idea, it can wipe out smaller tribes, which can take away alot of indian history. history is important, it is important to keep small tribes abundant. middle class, it would be like giving the biggest tax breaks to rich people, and... environment people, it would bring more drinking and cigarettes and pollution... and mommies, it would bring your kids to more gambling. vote no~
