This was the Walker Brothers at their best! The vocals are live and the backing tracks were pre-recorded for this performance...not the original studio tracks. It sounds crisp and clean and Scott's vocal line are very expressive here. RIP John Maus and thanks for the wonderful memories!

I recall being told in 1972 that Bob Marley and the Wailers contributed to this recording of the song, but NOT to the alternate album version. There may have been some legal reasons this one was hidden away after the single. At the time labels were really touchy about who recorded for whom.
