These birds were still very young and there is no reliable visual way to tell if they are male or female yet. Both female and male birds will have this colour cere when young. As they age it will change colour. If you ask for an update, I'm sure their ceres have changed colour by now.

I agree that the "punk" sound of the 90s got old, however I find (if somewhat surprisingly) that Sum 41 have evolved. The new mature sound is quite pleasing and I'm glad they have evolved with time.
