Thanks for posting Mike. I joined the positioning train at Central, Noel gave us a good run down although 112 played up a bit at times but we got there ok. Capturing the last 80 set and a 450 is priceless, all soon to be gone. Thanks again.

In a lorry the governed speed was 2800 rpm for the 510 and 2600 rpm for the 540. (longer stroke)
However......if you took the air filter out it would definitely blow up. I had mine away above 3500 rpm and not for long I might add.

Not funny, it won't last long at Whitehead. The first time it won't start or fails it will be shunted into a corner and left to rot away. The big kettles are the priority there and it's a full time (and expensive ) job keeping them going.
