Welcome to the First Annual Non-Native Rap Battle. The Stanford Digital Language Lab is hosted this event to showcase students rapping in a non-native language, hence the name nonnative rappers. Stanford Nonn-native Rappers First Prize is an 80GB iPod, 2nd place is an iPod Nano, and 3rd Prize is an iPod Shuffle. Rhymes were judged by celebrity judge MC Lars. All submissions were made by SU students who are or were in language classes. Upload your own rap videos or contact the Stanford Digital Language Lab for help with taping, production etc. jkautz@stanford.edu
Special thanks to the Stanford Language Center Crew. Big shout out to Instructors Kathryn Strachota, Hisayo Lipton, and Sara Gelmetti! We hope to expand the competition here at Stanford and at other schools.
