Honestly I'm not sure, it sounds plausible if you could find a company that makes a spring specifically for that purpose. It's easier to just make sure you take the recoil with your shoulders, but for some people that is really easier said than done.
I've currently been doing a lot of research on the Sig Sauer p226 and p229, I think one of those will be my next investment. Big difference from a .50 that's for sure, haha.

The only time I've had jamming problems were due to my mishandling the recoil. Because of the sheer size of the gun and the amount of recoil instead of taking it with the wrists you have to keep your arms extended and take the recoil with your shoulders. Which means basically that if you take it too much with your wrists the gun is vertical while loading the next round into the chamber and occasionally won't close all the way, it just takes a quick tap on the back to close it the rest of the way. So all in all, from as much as I've used mine, the very few times the subsequent round didn't load correctly was my error, not a malfunction of the firearm. The last few times I've shot I haven't had that problem at all because I've learned how to handle it reasonably well.
