... I'm a new and heartbroken MJJ fan; sad that I learned of his brilliance so late in my life and his, sad that I never saw him perform, and sad most of all that he suffered so terribly and yet he continued to give so much of himself to all of us. Such courage is rarely witnessed in humanity.

I am also a lover of words, so I'll borrow a wonderful idea from sweet Anna Shields here (Hi Anna!) and attempt to describe the Michael I've seen and read about since his tragic passing. He was:
