first get your self a small table so you are not bending over all the time to pick up tools. Second make the hot cut thinner it is very bulky to get good centered cuts. Also if you put a bend in your handle of the hot cut it will be easier to line up.

just a few comments to help. First the hammer is called a scythe hammer it was used for sharpening scythe's. second when you anneal copper hold it off the anvil because you are trying to heat the whole piece of metal below it.

great point I said that it is not really flat if you want metal flat that you are hitting you use a flattener it is a top tool you place on a the metal and strike it with a hammer. a flattener is flat and can be used to take out the hammer marks.

like the video the hammer you called a flattening is a farriers rounding hammer you also have a farriers style anvil the over sized horn is for making horse shoes.

first off you should find your local ABANA group in your area. Your forge is way to deep and your anvil to low.

I have a small power hammer and it is great to see that it is the same just all on a larger scale.
