I'm a composer, I live in Durham, North Carolina, and I'm a graduate student at Duke University's Department of Music.
Upcoming projects include a new work for sextet and wind ensemble for the Charles River Wind Ensemble (Boston, MA), a collaboration with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, and a new documentary opera about Durham, created with playwright Neal Bell.
I was the director for the Duke New Music Ensemble from 2007-2009, and am a co-founder of Rhymes With Opera, a new opera company dedicated to bringing new opera into unconventional spaces.
