The movie is magnificent, but this sequence is historically inaccurate. Fawkes was sentenced to be hanged, drawn and quartered - but he jumped off the scaffold and broke his neck to avoid the gruesome disembowelment.
That aside, I so want to see the ending of this movie brought to life!

@musicmad86 Nah, that wasn't a 999 call. It's clearly the non-emergency number, as he starts by asking "Is this the number where you report accidents?" and got the reply "OK, I'll put you through to control." That isn't the way a 999 conversation goes.
