Academy for Learning in Retirement
The Academy for Learning in Retirement is a program of educational opportunities of a scholarly nature for learners 50 years of age or older. It is sanctioned by New Mexico State University and operated by its own board under the auspices of Community Education at Dona Ana Community College.
Courses are offered each month during Fall and Spring semesters and generally consist of four one and one-half hour lectures. The fee for each course is usually $12. The fee depends on expenses. The annual fee for membership (January 1 to December 31) is $5. Members receive program listings, newsletters, and the right to participate in the annual membership meeting.
Community Education Fall Semester 2009
DACC Community Education seeks to improve the quality of life by providing lifelong learning opportunities for all members of the community. Lifelong learning is based on the belief that people are learners at every age and are entitled to pursue educational opportunities that are meaningful to them.
