One day i had a moment of realisation. i was sitting on my porch thinking about life. It just hit me ! I knew that if i died at that moment that i would not be right with God. I knew i couldn't be good enough by self effort or just saying i believe in God from a comfortable distance. There seemed to be a huge gulf between me and a Holy God.
From that very moment onwards i started to really search for the truth. Soon after i started reading the bible and found out that God in his great love sent his son Jesus to die in my place to cover my sins for all eternity ...if i repented. I understood then that our sins have separated us from having a relationship with God and that that relationship needed to be restored. The bible says that there is nothing we can do to be good enough or righteous enough.. if you look at the 10 commandments and compare your life , your thoughts etc. we could never measure up. But God made a way for us by sending his son to die in our place.We deserved death but Jesus took our sins for us, he payed our debt so to speak.

Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.
also in John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Wow what a amazing God we have, the creator of the universe wants a relationship with us. But its up to us now to make a move toward him he never forces himself on us. But he did make a way for us to go to live eternally with him and to have that assurance and peace.
The first step is to repent (turn around follow him) the bible says the kingdom of God is coming so get ready prepare yourself. Ask for forgiveness of all sin and show it through your words and actions, get baptised and ask for the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38)and read the Bible and do what it says. That's what i did and all i can say to you is, Its the truth, its actually tangible, Jesus loves you and wants you to know him. If your interested I suggest you start reading the bible at the book of Mark and keep going, pray ask Jesus to come into your life and reveal himself to you and help you, pray seek him out, he will not disappoint you.
PS- Please don't judge Christianity by what you see the church doing ...there's been alot of hypocrisy and money hungry empires built in the name of God. Jesus said many will worship me with there lips but there hearts are far from me. I apologize to all out there that have been let down and hurt by organized religion. But please friends you must not let this stop you finding out the truth about Jesus and the way he has paved ahead for your life.. search it out yourself .. don't let anything or anybody stop you.
