Daughtry
On Wednesday, April 25, 2012, NJPAC welcomes Daughtry, the popular American rock group, led by singer, songwriter and musician Chris Daughtry. The group has been on a roll since the 2006 release of its self-titled, Grammy-nominated debut CD and its follow-up, the platinum-selling "Leave This Town." On their latest release, "Break the Spell," Daughtry continues to refine a sound that blends anthemic hooks, impassioned vocals, and top-notch lyrics, smoothly shifting gears from powerful arena-rock to hushed ballads to emotional mid-tempo rockers. The group's members include Josh Steely (guitar), Brian Craddock (guitar), Joey Barnes (drums/piano), and Josh Paul (bass).

Renée Fleming
Every operatic age has its incomparable diva -- in the best sense of that word: the synthesis of a glorious voice, soaring artistry and a mesmerizing and glamorous presence. For ours it is Renée Fleming, a cultural phenomenon who has redefined the loaded "d-word" to such a degree that The Times of London hailed her as "the people's diva." Le Monde in Paris wrote of the American soprano: "Perfect voice, endless breath, sensuous tone...she is sheer perfection." Can it be that the beguiling Fleming has been dominating the music world's greatest stages for over twenty years? On Sunday, January 29 at 3:00, Fleming returns to NJPAC, with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and a program that includes Ravel's "Shéhérazade" plus favorite arias from "La Bohème," 'Tosca," 'Rusalka," Lehar's "The Merry Widow," and more.
Liza Minnelli
On Saturday, February 4, 2012, NJPAC welcomes Liza Minnelli, a star who's truly earned the status of "living legend." For her work on stage and screen, Minnelli has won all of the entertainment world's major awards, including the Oscar (for her iconic performance in "Cabaret"), the Emmy, the Tony, and the Grammy. For this NJPAC engagement, Minnelli will bring a concert that's sure to include many of her greatest hits, and certain to light up NJPAC's Prudential Hall with some major star power.

Cinematic Titanic
On March 30 and 31, 2012, the creator and original cast of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 bring their masterful movie riffing live to NJPAC, featuring the same team that first brought the cult classic to life: MST3K creators Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu (Crow, Dr. Forrester), J. Elvis Weinstein (Tom Servo, Dr. Erhardt), Frank Conniff (TV's Frank), and Mary Jo Pehl (Pearl Forrester). Join this quintet as they riff on some of the unfathomable, horribly great and just plain cheesiest movies ever made.
Peking Acrobats
This spellbinding troupe of gymnasts, jugglers, cyclists and tumblers from the Peoples Republic of China leaps into NJPAC's Prudential Hall on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 7:30.
Soweto Gospel Choir
On Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 8:00pm, NJPAC welcomes this Grammy-winning, 32-member South African choir, comprised of outstanding talent from churches in and around Johannesburg's Soweto district. The ensemble's spirited repertoire (performed in 8 languages) blends traditional hymns and South African gospel selections with pop, American gospel, and soul. "Absolutely thrilling—they need nothing but their voices to make dazzling music," says BILLBOARD.
Hugh Masekela
On classics like Paul Simon's Graceland and his own Grammy-winning Grazing in the Grass, South African singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Hugh Masekela has remained a consistently innovative leader in world music fusion, renowned for a vibrant sound that touches on everything from jazz and pop to R&B, disco and Afro-pop. Rolling Stone calls Masekela "one of the most thrilling live performers around." Presented as part of NJPAC's Cheza! Festival of African Music.
