FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE Regarding the unacceptable propaganda by certain lobbies about the origin of Alexander the Great, which attempts to twist the facts and distort the concepts of history and the truth itself, I felt the imminent need to say a couple of words. It sounds weird supporting the obvious but after these indecent attacks against common sense and historic truth, some things should be made clear. As you probably know, the name of the Former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia was Vardarsca until the 1940's, when Churchill and Truman allowed Tito - who was really mad to expand his country to the Aegean - to give to this region of the former Yugoslavia, the Greek name Macedonia to prevent Stalin from enlarging his influence to the Balkans. The above political baptism, constitutes a historical fact. Other historical facts revealed by ancient scripts and archaeological findings, oblige me to pose the following questions: In which language were Alexander the Great and Aristotle speaking? Slavic or Greek? Which gods were they worshiping? The alphabet on the scripts and the letters on the labels and epigraphs, which have been found, are they Slavic or Greek? The architecture and the statues of the ancient Macedonians, which have also been found, were Slavic or Greek? Their war-uniforms their shields, spears, their clothing habits, their way of life in general, was it Slavic or Greek? What about the coins they were using? Weren't in Greek? Their names? Weren't they Greek? Why do you think the ancient Macedonians were taking part to the Olympic Games, where only Greek cities-states had the right to participate? Because, at the ancient time, MACEDONIA was a province of GREECE inhabited by GREEKS (either by the name Pelasgoi or Dories later). While in Asia, - the main reason for Alexanders invasion was to punish the Persians, who attempted to destroy Greece 150 years earlier and to free the Greek city states of Asia Minor from Persian slavery - Alexander has said several times that he was Greek. And of course he was, as his father Filippos (the word means friend of the horse in Greek) descended from Hercules himself (his forefathers were kings of Argos, a city-state in Peloponnesus) and his mother Olympias descended from Neoptolemus, Aiakides origin, straight to Achilles. This is what history says. This is what Alexander says. This is what we all know. So, the obvious question, which is coming up spontaneously is the following: Why are these people trying to steal our history instead of creating theirs? The FYROMIANS don't know even the meaning of the name Macedonia itself and they want to be called Macedonians! Macedonia is another Greek word. It comes from Mac-ednos, which means tall (mecos mec- mac-). The name Alexandros also means the protector of men. (Andran means man in Greek). But the FYROMIANS ignore it too. Well, it is natural. They are not Greeks! They are a bunch of barbarians, who came from Asia, with no history and not even a trace of civilization! Therefore, they need some glow, by the sun of Greece! Today, the population of FYROM includes people by a number of different nationalities, Bulgarians and Albanians mainly. It's a matter of time before this country, the ex- Vardarsca, tears into pieces and its territory will be split and distributed to its neighbouring nations. This is their worst nightmare but they can't avoid it. That's why they are mad to enter the NATO because they think it will offer them stability. This is reality. Therefore, dont let dark propaganda, deriving from certain lobbies who hate Hellenism, to incarnate and strike. You owe it. To history. History cant be changed with lies. You owe it to yourselves. Because YOU are a part of HELLAS as well. And this occurs, as this country spread the guiding light of knowledge all over the world and taught the whole globe with moral values, which transform a man and a woman to a free HUMAN BEING. In this perspective, we are all spiritual children of the ancient Greek civilization. Hellenism is an idea with global resound. Actually, Hellenism is THE only idea with global resound. It is the only real form of Universality. Ask yourselves, what would you do if someone attempted to steal pieces of your history. Pieces of your country. Pieces of your ego, of your inner self. Because this is exactly what Macedonia means to us. It is a part of our existence. Please, do the best you can to re-establish the truth. For justice. For the truth itself. With honeur
