This little fellow held my attention from beginning to that marvellous grin at the end. His total concentration as he stretched those tiny hands over those awkward left hand intervals is a treat to see. Makes me wish I had kids ... or at least one exactly like him! He's adorable!

A lovely performance. This little angel plays Bach with feeling, not the usual

faked " harpsichord" dryness. She has excellent posture and graceful relaxed hand movement. A treat for the eye and the ear.

Personally I find Gould's interpretations of the Inventions too fast. But I love his approach to ornamentatation and his 'detache' touch ... both right in line with the custom of Bach's day. Baroque music allowed for much more participation from the performer who was allowed and even encourag...

So so fast. I get the feeling that it's more a question of showing the spectacular clear technique and that the exquisite beauty of the Invention has been sacrificed. I prefer the Sinfonia. But still too too fast for my taste.

The "mathemetical" perfection of contrapuntal music ... ...

Exquisite rendition. Ornaments clear as bells. Reminscent of Gould at times. The "block" dynamics are also true to Bach's era when so much music was played on the harpsichord which allowed for dynmamics only by the double keyboard.

At last ... a performance which didn't have me reaching for the mute button .... normally the music is so wildly distorted with the singer's woefully tasteless embellishments that it loses all its significance as the National Anthem. Lea Salonga restores both the beauty and significance or...
