Hi there, My Name Is Christopher and I am from Dublin, Ireland and I have stuttered all my life. I know how isolated you can feel. What really helped me was a book called 'Stuttering and the Valsalva Hypothesis' by Bill Parry esq. He is a Lawyer from Pensyllvania who stuttered for decades before embarking on his own quest to shed light on his struggle which his psychoanalysts could not. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Please look into this. It's available on Amazon and for a PWS it is priceless. It offers no overnight cures but it will shed real light on the paradoxes of stuttering and it gives a self-help exercise which is very insightful. Please look into this, I can't recommend it enough. All the best.

Thanks for the videos. You do a great job. Have you ever considered that you may have PANDAS? When there is a sudden onset of a symptom like stuttering it can sometimes be cured with antibiotics. My son was cured after just 1 week on antibiotics. PANDAS is a relatively new idea. It stands for Pediatric Autoimmune Neurological Disorder Acquired from Strep. It can happen when you immune system makes anti-bodies to fight off strep or some other infection. The anti-bodies break through the blood brain barrier and start hitting the basal ganglia in your brain (That's the part that controls movement). I know about this because I have 5 kids and one of them has some very severe PANDAS symptoms. My fourth child only had stuttering which started all of a sudden. We gave him a course of antibiotics and the stuttering disappeared. Most Drs don't understand PANDAS but what the heck, antibiotics are worth a try. You can PM me if you want more info. Take care,
Sherri

I don't know if you know this already. There is a form of therapy for stuttering which involves use of hardware. I think you wear it like a walkman. It plays back your voice to your ears as you speak. Apparently it eliminates your stuttering and in time you don't even need the hardware anymore. I have watched The King's Speech and it is an excellent portrayal of how difficult it is to live with and overcome such a condition. There is a doctor who overcame his stuttering by getting closer to and talking to animals. His name is Dr. Alan Rabinowitz. Anyways, I wish you luck with it. Capitalize on your strengths and your weaknesses will diminish and disappear in time. You are such a stunning and pretty girl that I did not even notice your stutter at all. Be well and peace. Cheers!

everything im telling u is actualy new to me but it blew me away and now i watch lots of interviews on talk shows and i notice that nobody is speaking perfectly like i always thought!! i always thought that everybody speaks soo perfect and we are jus misrable and will always have to live in a shell. BUT THAT IS FALSE. and omg i jus watched ur videos i only saw like 3 of them but its so funny how u speak so good but then for example u do a hesitation that sounds like smthin everybody does and its so normal but then u highlight it!! DONT DO THAT u actualy speak soo good im not lying either..... everybody does that little bobble but wen u start talking about ur bobbles it ruins ur confidence. its jus a bad habit trust me it will be kinda hard and take so time to get better. especial doin public speaking but its all about changing the habits!! add me on facebook if neing ---- Heerad Hojjatian

when we were younger our parents say "speak better" or "oh noo dont speak like that" then it put pressure on us but some kids jus say w.e but some kids take it personal (us). then wen we are always worried about how we speak, then it is just like running up the stairs and trying to think about what muscles we are using and etc<---if u do that then U WILL TRIP!!! once u understand this concept then u have to change your habit. we have developed a bad habit for so many years now it will take some time to speak fluently. firstly, STOP TELLING URSELF NEGATIVE THINGS. dont even tell ppl u stutter anymore cuz that is a negative affirmation. and this may sound ridiculous but START TELLING URSELF THAT U ARE AN EXCELLENT SPEAKER OR THAT U ARE A SMOOTH SPEAKER. it will change your beliefs about urself. then just practise speaking.

when i say that everybody stutters its actualy not stuttering its called "bobbling." everybody has bobbles in their speach but stutters dont even want to bobble so they do everything to make sure speach is perfect! for example we pre-form our tongues and do abunch of BAD HABITS that makes us do a huge bobble, called a stutter or stammer.
