The unity of the working class is paramount . But we should not underestimate the dialectic of class and nation in the struggle for socialism and we should never hand the "nation" to the right wing and the fascists. Nicholas Y Glais in Wales and Hugh McDarmaid in Scotland combined communism with the best of Welsh and Scottish working class traditions.

I am also aware how Celtic Nationalism can be abused - we only need to look at Brittany where the Bretons collaorated with the Nazis Occupation and more recently how Christian Harmon a former leader of the Breton Communist Party has become an apologist for Nazis Wartime collaboration by Breton Nationalists..

Yes, Plaid Cymru and the Scottish Nationalists are both bourgeois nationalist organizations which if their goals are achieved {separation}, would be potentially disasterous for the British working class. They would destroy the trade union resistance {the only real resistance we have at the moment} and will weaken the whole movement. To take on ALL the separate states {Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and hopefully Southern Ireland} and the mighty English State, will require the help of all the different nationalities.
