Tried some flame tests on KCl n something I thought was KCO3. My problem is : the salts always tend to ``explode``. Not a real explosion, but it does PAK!! PAK!!! n then it goes everywhere except on the flamme. So its very difficult to have the flamme test. Any advices???

I've been checking ur vid again n u said that u used baking soda. Actually b.soda is NaHCO3. So when ur doing the boiling, how do u get rid of the carbonate. 2ndly, why didn't u just use simple table salt?
