About Nexus Center for the Horse
We are a natural care training and barefoot rehabilitation facility in East Tennessee.
Natural care means horses are barefoot and live out 24x7. They live in groups to ensure social interaction and movement. They eat mainly forage in the form of grass/hay, plus a vit/min supplement. All of this to maximize health, healing and wellbeing.
We specialize in rehabilitating horses who are unsound due to hoof ailments such as navicular syndrome. Our intent is to bring the horse back to a level of soundness that allows the horse to return to the same level of performance as prior to the diagnosis.
Training is a combination of clicker training, traditional horsemanship and dressage emphasizing the development of a supple and balanced horse under a supple and balanced rider. We offer lessons on your own horse or a school horse. We also take horses into training.
