NextStep's annual Wheelchair for a Day challenge is a global effort to raise awareness about accessibility issues, the daily challenges associated with living in a wheelchair, and to educate the public about the lack of affordable, progressive, and ongoing rehabilitation services. The goal is to engage the public to be supportive of those with disabilities and to raise funds to help NextStep in its mission to expand to communities nationwide. Wheelchair for a Day (WFD) challenges able-bodied people to spend one day in a wheelchair and to share their experience on social media through videos, photos, and stories. Each participant's journey will be shared on NextStep's official social media channels. Additionally, participants are encouraged to get their schools and companies involved and to start a personal fundraising campaign on NextStep's CrowdRise page, http://www.crowdrise.com/Wh...
