topchef: Thanks for your comment. I think you are referring to the featured trailer for Boom Town, correct? There are 2 trailers, so perhaps the one with live action (now the featured video) will give you a better feel for the show. It actually has been developed for the stage, so even though it is circus it should not feel crammed here. In regards to your other comment, we totally agree that theater should never be "dumbed down" for children! Many of the shows we present were not originally intended for children and family audiences. We also program different types of shows, so Boom Town is one circus in a season including plays, opera, dance and musicals. You can read more about our programming philosophy here: http://newvictory.org/newvicPhilosophy.m

Ummm... I don't get it, I just watched the show trailer and it left me wondering, what's the point?? I mean, yeah yeah, there's action, excitment; a 3 ring circus crammed onto one NYC theater stage. Is it truly necessary to dumb down theater because the venue is meant for children?

har55555: Sorry we missed your comment this weekend! All of the percussion and music does make for a louder-than-normal show, as I'm sure you found out. In the future, your best bet is to try us on Twitter (@NewVictory) for a more immediate response. Thanks!

I wish I wasn't living in Texas. I'd love to Nevermore. I keep walking around singing "Edgar Allan Poe/Edgar Allan Poe." That song is infectious and the costumes and sets look dazzling and spellbinding. Great work!
