Why are the Oakland police so violent? Here we go again. Remember when Scott Olson was shot in the head with a tear gas canister and flash bombs were ignited in the last confrontation they had. The government ought to get a clue by now that corporate/government corruption has been exposed virally and people will not tolerate this abuse of power anymore. The youth have their future at stake and this is the only way they know how to peacefully make a difference. The city officials should have meetings with the public protesters Q&A sessions...this is insane. Innocent young kids being treated so brutally. The police should refuse to obey commands to use excessive force. The police should realize that the community is trying to make positive changes for them too. We all should be together on this people. The police are our public servants...no? Or are the police now the corporate puppets who cannot think for themselves? When the system is broken, how do we fix it?
