This video of Loretta Lynn and Jack White was really great.I love it! I too must be a newoldtymer for I am 43 years old too. Alot of things happened in 1965 didn't it!? Loretta Lynn is a great singer/songwriter...but,my favorite of all time is the great Joni Mitchell. When it comes to blue grass its the Osbourn brothers for me. My family has collected music all our lives which nearly collapsed our storage building for records are heavy in bulk! Thanks for posting this...CHEERS!

My wife and I were two of those 150 lucky souls. It was wet and cold I had to pee and my legs were cramping up. But I sucked it up and stayed for the whole concert. Even got my picture taken with Marty Stuart. What a great treat for Bluegrass fans

Howdy newoldtimer,

This is a long-overdue THANK YOU for the incredible Velvet Underground Documentary series you've so kindly posted. I still feel very strongly that the planet has never properly acknowledged how freakin' essential the historical evolution of american music has been to the rest of the world, with regards to the development of virtually EVERY style of popular music plalyed on the planet.(jazz, blues, folk, funk, soul, hip-hop, rock....) From Robert Johnson, Son House,Guthrie, Dylan, Miles,Billie Holliday,James Brown, Aretha, Ella, Johnny Cash, Hendrix, the Velvet Underground and BECK etc. etc. etc.......need I say more. At least we(canadians)gave the world Neil Young. Amen to that.

warmest regards from your northern neighbour.

I believe that Sara & Mother Maybelle were filmed at a Carter Family reunion early 1960's.
