Good question. The phrase "Just Do It" in the way that Nike uses it is not something copyright protected, it's protected by "trademark" laws which are completely independent of copyright. This video only deals with copyright protection. The very simplified trademark answer to your question is: using the phrase "Just Do It" in association with selling commercial sports products is unique enough that trademark laws protect that phrase from others using it to sell sports products.

You're definitely pointing out one of the big debates about copyright, and copyright reform in general. U.S. copyright law doesn't make a distinction right now between hobbyists making work for fun and large companies making work for profit. And the line between those two are getting blurred everyday. Some would argue that culture should be "free" and everyone should get a shot at making a Disney character movie if they get a good idea. Others would disagree. It's an interesting debate!

Good catch, it is cut off. We will hopefully have time to fix this in the next few months... You can find the Vlambeer press kit template at dopresskit [dot] com or by Googling "Rami Ismail press kit"

It seems like a pretty common tactic. If the Kickstarter hits 100% of it's goal or more, people seem to start really paying attention. If a Kickstarter raises its goal a bit more and is stuck at 20%, even if it raised more money, it may still seem like a failure.

Awesome! Thanks so much for supporting our fundraiser. We're really hoping that our non-profit will raise enough to make more videos.

Thanks for the suggestion. We're always open to suggestions on how to make these videos better. We couldn't afford the right lights to light both the room and the screen without one of them being really blue. We have a fundraiser going on to fund a "Season Two" of these videos so hopefully we'll be able to afford some better lights if people support us

Great to hear, these are useful. Trademark laws are actually QUITE DIFFERENT outside of the United States, so as much as a few concepts here overlap, you should look up the laws of your own jurisdiction. Things like Copyright Laws are much more similar between the UK and the US but you I wouldn't apply this information when you're selling products outside the US like on Steam or locally.
