If Baptism has saving power...why did Christ die on the cross?

Jesus is also called the baptizer. This verse is referring to being baptized with the holy spirit. I have no problem with the word baptism. In fact I believe like you that without we can't be saved. But what is baptism referring to...that is the question.

1 Peter 3:21 says exactly the opposite. He clearly states in that passage that he is not referring to water.

I don't agree with Mr. Robertson interpretation of scripture...but he is right when he claims their is a such thing as truth. Jesus said I am the way...the truth...and the life...no man comes unto the father but through me. That I believe.

Jesus is the great baptizer! How do we know he is talking about water baptism and not holy spirit baptism?

A lot of christians are under the impression that if their not hearing a hells fire & brimstone message every time out...then their not hearing the truth of Gods word. But if it were not for Gods grace their would be no Gospel message. Period!

I take Romans 10:9 & 10 literally. 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation...

I believe in the lord Jesus christ & that's all I have to say.

If you read Romans 10: 9 & 10 we clearly read that with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

Listen! The negative comments are from people who just can't see past race. They just can't bring themselves to acknowledge that their attracted to someone outside their race. I'm just as attracted to a woman of color as I am someone within my race.

There were very wealthy men in the bible...who were also righteous in the eyes of God. Job & solomon just to name a couple. Jesus did not come to bring us more poverty. When jesus referred to the rich in the bible he was talking about a spiritual condition. You can have only a dollar to your name...

@DemonSoulSlayer it's apparent your a Seventh Day Adventist. They believe in Soul sleep until jesus returns. But the bible provides ample evidence that the soul continues to exist apart from the body (Philippians 1:23-24).
