The 75th anniversary of the New Deal is being
celebrated around the US from March 31, 2008 through March 31, 2009. FDR was inaugurated
in March 1933 and within the first 100 days
established many of these agencies.

This channel provides information on the various New Deal agencies, projects and initiatives.

The favorites were selected from videos that have a connection to the time period between the Great Depression and World War ll.

They show the sights and sounds from the period. You will see some of the various projects by TVA, CCC, and WPA. You will hear some great music from artists as diverse as Kate Smith, REM, Bon Jovi, John Prine, Fanny Brice, Johnny Cash, Bob Wills, The Mills Brothers, Memphis Minnie, Louie Armstrong,
Woody Guthrie, Jimmie Rodgers, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, Mother Maybelle Carter and Merle Haggard.
