A great rendition of The BEATLES classic!

Listen to the opening when Paul sings it, it goes up in a number of places, whereas you flatten the notes. That is what makes your version sound a bit strange. I have tried to sing this myself at Karaoke ( I sing a lot of Beatles at Karaoke), and even I can't get the high notes that Paul does on...

A real tear jerker for me that song.

@friding999 I really did like the Barron Knights. I still find sometimes that I sing along to a well known 60's song and I find that I am singing the spoof Barron Knights lyrics, instead of the original artistes( e.g. Needles and Pins)!

@seupoat No just different. Both entities were " Kings" in their own areas of music. One as a the greatest band the World is ever likely to experience and the other as a wonderful solo artiste.

Should have just shot him. He probably got off with a bloody fine or caution

It's a beautiful Paul song and one of my favourites. I was singing this song

( from "The White Album") when I met my wife in 1969. How the time flies!!

Not a bad effort at all. One of my favourite BEATLES songs - and I have been a massive fan since the 60's. I love singing this song at Karaoke too.

The only problema are that:-

1. It is very short

2. The last note can be a bit difficult. I have to wait until my voice is in "mellow" mode before...

Eric and Ernie always used to tease Des about his singing and although it boosted his entertainment value and career, it probably meant that his singing wasn't taken as seriously as it should have been. He's got a lovely voice.

That depends - if you are counting the BEATLES in that, then sorry, as good as Take That are, they can't touch the Fab Four. I do love listening and performing Take That songs though!
