Neville Chamberlain was the political "Nice Guy", that attempted to avoid WWII conflict, because he believed that NAZIS had the same moral basis for any negotiation as the 1939 European Nations. His desire to avoid another World War can be commended. His unwillingness to acknowledge who he was negotiating with, and the level of depravity exhibited by dictators over human history is pure naivete.
