Formed in the early part of the 21st Century in Hoboken, NJ, The Neutron Drivers are a group of rock n' roll spacemen bound together by their love of old effects boxes, Tascam portastudios, garage rock, psychedelic sound, and smoky clubs. Veterans of numerous psych, punk, and soul projects that played up and down the east coast of the United States, The Neutron Drivers now devote their energy to their peculiar brand of rock n' roll. Equal parts garage stomp fury and space rock serenity, The Drivers' sound often switches gears in the space of a single three-minute tune. New songs appear and disappear from the Internet with frightening regularity. By design or by the mercurial nature of the songwriters involved, nobody can say. CDs, mp3s and even tape copies circulate between their fans hoping to find them all. Furious live shows dot the landscape, leaving fans dazed and needing to hear more. Laser beam guitars and space cadet choruses give way to locomotive garage stomp and then back again and then it's over. Neutron Drivers shows are a litany of beer bottles and buzzing eardrums, garage space church for the musically minded. Never miss them.
