Give me my robe, put on my crown; I have Immortal longings in me
"The purpose of education is not to validate ignorance but to overcome it" .....Lawrence Krauss
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door
As flies to wanton boys, are we to the gods; they kill us for their sport
A celibate clergy is an especially good idea, because it tends to suppress any hereditary propensity toward fanaticism
By education most have been misled; So they believe, because they were bred. The priest continues where the nurse began, And thus the child imposes on the man
Living Life Tomorrow's fate, though thou be wise, Thou canst not tell nor yet surmise; Pass, therefore, not today in vain, For it will never come again
All that we are not stares back at what we are
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives.
Thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every saint and sinner in the history of our species. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. -- Carl Sagan: The Pale Blue Dot

Just some more food for thought matey.
Kind regards
Jonno
Not discounting anything that you've written, but just to give you a little more food for thought regarding sources: obviously from a christian point of view, the Bible is the main source of authority on religious doctrine regarding Christianity, so here is some more textual evidence regarding the Judaistic heritage of the religion, which is only a small taste of what I would be delighted to expand upon.
The Book of Acts in the [Christian] New Testament contains some important verses. The Apostle Paul/ Saul, who wrote over half of the NT, describes himself as a Jew, and ethnically Hebrew. In Acts 22:3 he is recorded as saying "I am a Jew... under Gamaliel, I was thoroughly trained in the Torah/ Law of our fathers..." Gamaliel is noted in the Jewish Talmud as being a highly reputable devoted Jewish scholar around the time of Jesus, in secular history, ie, sources out side of the bible.
good...?
