Todd Curtis is a parent and a published author who more than a decade ago created the Web's most popular airline safety site, AirSafe.com. He holds a PhD in aviation risk assessment from the Union Institute, as well as engineering degrees from MIT, the University of Texas, and Princeton. His aviation safety work has been featured by numerous news organizations, including the New York Times, and he has appeared on CNN, CBS, Fox News, Discovery Channel, the BBC, and National Public Radio. With this book, he combines his insights as a father, engineering risk assessment expert, and online pioneer to create a clear and easy-to-use guide for managing and enhancing a child's online experiences. Previously, he has published and presented a number of technical papers in the areas of aviation risk assessment and also was the author of the 2000 book Understanding Aviation Safety Data.
